Linux Compatibility Testing Results

This document presents the results of the Linux Compatibility testing with SuSE 7.3 on the ASUSTek A7N 266 workstation system.


AppLabs' Linux compatibility testing of this system showed the ASUSTek A7N 266 to be compatible with SuSE 7.3. The ASUSTek A7N 266 is awarded the AppLabs Linux Compatibility mark.

Hardware Details

The following table defines the hardware configuration details for the tested system.

Hardware Configuration Information
Motherboard and Processor The mainboard is an ASUSTek A7N 266 with Nvidia nForce chipset. Processor is an AMD K7 Athlon clocked at 1.4 GHz.
Display Adapters Integrated (onboard) Nvidia GeForce 2
I/O Busses The CD-ROM is an ASUS 50x. Sound support is provided by a CMI 8738 sound chip. The floppy drive is a generic 1.44 MB.
The system was tested with IDE harddrives.
The system has one (1) parallel port and two (2) 16550a serial ports. There are one (1) each of PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports. Other ports include: zero (0) ISA slots; five (5) PCI slots; one (1) AGP slot, two (2) USB ports, and, one (1) ACR port.
Network Interfaceonboard RTL8100 NIC
Testing Peripherals Keyboard as tested is a 101-key generic. Mouse as tested is a Logitech PS/2 mouse.
