This document presents the results of the Linux Compatibility testing with RedHat 7.0 on the Shuttle, Inc. AV 30 system.


AppLabs' Linux compatibility testing of this system showed the AV 30 to be compatible with Red Hat 7.0. The Shuttle, Inc. AV 30 is awarded the Exodus Performance Labs' Linux Compatibility mark.

Hardware Details

The following table defines the hardware configuration details for the tested system.

Hardware Configuration Information
Motherboard and Processor The mainboard is a Shuttle AV 30 Revision V1.2 with the VIA 8633 chipset. The processor is an Intel Pentium III clocked at 866 MHz.
Display Adapters Tested with an 3Dfx VooDoo 3 2000.
I/O Busses The tested controller was an IDE-type onboard Intel controller. The CD-ROM tested was an IDE/ATAPI Teac 40X. The floppy drive is a generic 1.44 MB.
The system has one (1) parallel port and two (2) 16550a serial ports. There are one (1) each of PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports. Other ports include: Zero (0) ISA slots; six (6) PCI slots; one (1) AGP slot; two (2) USB ports, and one (1) CNR port.
Network InterfaceTested with a 3Com 3c950C-TX-M.
Included Peripherals Keyboard as tested is a 101-key generic. Mouse as tested is a Logitech PS/2 mouse.
