This document presents the results of the Linux Compatibility test, which included the installation of Redhat 7.0 on the SuperMicro 6010H SuperServer.


AppLabs' Linux compatibility testing of this system showed the 6010H SuperServer to be compatible with Redhat 7.0. The 6010H is awarded the AppLabs Linux Compatibility mark.

Hardware Details

The following table defines the hardware configuration details for the tested system.

Hardware Configuration Information
Motherboard and ProcessorThe system tested contained two (2) Intel Pentium III processors clocked at 800 MHz. System was tested with 256 MB RAM.
Display Adapters There is an ATI Rage XL onboard video chip.
I/O Busses The system includes a standard 1.44 MB floppy drive interface. There are ports for PS/2 style keyboard and mouse. The tested system included two (2) Quantum Atlas 9SCA SCSI hard drives on an Adaptec AIC-7899 controller. There is one (1) 64-bit PCI slot on a horizontal-to-vertical riser board.
Network InterfaceThere are two (2) onboard Intel i82557/i82558 NIC interfaces.
Included PeripheralsThe included CD-ROM drive is a Matshita CR-176. 24X IDE drive. The system was tested with a Dell Quietkey keyboard (101-key standard) and a generic 3-button PS/2 mouse.
Miscellaneous Hardware There is one standard 16550A serial port. There is one 1.44 megabyte floppy drive.

Related Notes

1. The NFS install was broken on the version of RedHat 7.0 used for testing (ISO image from RedHat mirror dated 9/28/2000.) Network install was tested with 6.2 RedHat.

2. There are no parallel ports on this server.
