Linux Compatibility Testing Results

This document presents the results of the Linux Compatibility test, which included the installation of Redhat 7.1 on the SuperMicro 6011L SuperServer.


Exodus Performance Labs' Linux compatibility testing of this system showed the 6011L SuperServer to be compatible with Redhat 7.1. The 6011L is awarded the Exodus Performance Labs' Linux Compatibility mark.

Hardware Details

The following table defines the hardware configuration details for the tested system.

Hardware Configuration Information
Motherboard and ProcessorThe system tested contained two (2) Intel Pentium processors clocked at 1 GHz. System was tested with 512 MB RAM.
Display Adapters There is an ATI Rage XL AGP onboard video chip.
I/O Busses The system includes a standard 1.44 MB floppy drive interface. There are ports for PS/2 style keyboard and mouse. The tested system included two (2) Quantum Atlas 9SCA SCSI hard drives on an Adaptec AIC-7899 controller. There is one (1) 64-bit PCI slot on a horizontal-to-vertical riser board.
Network InterfaceThere are two (2) onboard Intel i82557/i82558 NIC interfaces.
Included PeripheralsThe included CD-ROM drive is a Matshita CR-177 24X IDE CD/DVD-ROM drive. The system was tested with a Dell Quietkey keyboard (101-key standard) and a generic 3-button PS/2 mouse.
Miscellaneous Hardware There is one standard 16550A serial port. This machine has no parallel port. There is one 1.44 megabyte floppy drive.
