This document presents the results of the Linux Compatibility test, which included the installation of Redhat 7.2 on the SuperMicro 6021F SuperServer.


AppLabs' Linux compatibility testing of this system showed the 6021F SuperServer to be compatible with Redhat 7.2. The 6021F is awarded the AppLabs Linux Compatibility mark.

Hardware Details

The following table defines the hardware configuration details for the tested system.

Hardware Configuration Information
Motherboard and ProcessorThe system tested contained two (2) Intel Pentium IV processors clocked at 1.2 GHz on a SuperMicro main board.
Display Adapters ATI Rage using the Mach64 driver.
I/O Busses The system includes a standard 1.44 MB floppy drive interface. There are ports for PS/2 style keyboard and mouse. The tested system included one (1) Quantum Atlas IV 9 SCA hard drive on an Adaptec AIC-7899 SCSI host adapter. There is one (1) AGP port, six (6) PCI ports, and two (2) USB ports.
Network InterfaceSystem as tested contained one (1) onboard Intel i82557/i82558 NIC interfaces.
Included PeripheralsThe included CD-ROM drive is a Matshita CR-177 ATAPI CD-ROM IDE drive. The system was tested with a Dell Quietkey keyboard (104-key standard) and a generic 3-button PS/2 mouse.
Miscellaneous Hardware There are two standard 16550A serial ports. There is one standard bi-directional parallel port. There is one 1.44 megabyte floppy drive.
