Linux Compatibility Testing Results

This document presents the results of the Linux Compatibility test, which included the installation of Redhat 6.2 on the SuperMicro 8060 Server.


AppLabs' Linux compatibility testing of this system showed the 8060 Server to be compatible with Redhat 6.2. The 8060 is awarded the AppLabs Linux Compatibility mark.

Hardware Details

The following table defines the hardware configuration details for the tested system.

Hardware Configuration Information
Motherboard and ProcessorThe system tested contained four (4) Intel Pentium II Xeon processors clocked at 700 MHz. System was tested with 1 GB RAM.
Display Adapters There is an ATI onboard video chip.
I/O Busses The system includes a standard 1.44 MB floppy drive interface. There are ports for PS/2 style keyboard and mouse. The tested system included four (4) Quantum Atlas 9SCA SCSI hard drives. There are Zero (0) ISA slots; six (6) 64-bit PCI slots; no AGP slot; and, two USB ports.
Network InterfaceThere is an onboard 3COM 590c NIC interface.
Included PeripheralsThe included CD-ROM drive is a Matshita CR-176 IDE drive. The system was tested with a Dell Quietkey keyboard (101-key standard) and a generic 3-button PS/2 mouse.
Miscellaneous Hardware There is one standard 16550A serial port. There is one bi-directional parallel port. There is one 1.44 megabyte floppy drive.
